1. Adult Literacy
Items that are designed to help people to learn reading, spelling and writing of the English Language. Items are for use by a learner to use independently or a tutor planning a learning programme.
The types of resources are:
· dictionaries
· grammar guides
· punctuation rules
· readers in a range of vocabulary levels
· reader and cassette packs
· spelling lists and rule guides
· workbooks with activities and exercises
2. E.S.L
E.S.L – stands for English as a Second Language. The items are for use by people who are fluent in the language of the country of their birth or residence before coming to New Zealand. Items are designed to help migrants to grasp a better understanding of the English Language with regard to comprehension, pronunciation, and vocabulary.
The types of resources are:
· New Zealand cultural material
· videos on pronunciation
· working in New Zealand
3. I.E.L.T.S
I.E.L.T.S – stands for International English Language Testing System. This is a system used by professional organizations to ensure that employees from other countries where English is a second language have the language skills to perform their roles in a competent manner. The I.E.L.T.S was designed for use by academics and professionals.
The types of resources are:
· English guides for various occupations, e.g. accounting, finance, management and marketing.

Packs that have student workbooks, tutor workbooks and cassettes or CD’s
· Practice I.E.L.T.S test material
