Support Services:

The Support Services' section provides support for the public areas of the library. The section comprises ten staff members who order, catalogue, accession, process, and mend items. Support Services will carry out book mending/repairs, and book covering for the public.

Prices are as follows:

Lost Property, Displays and Tours: Check at the Help Desks in each department for lost property . Displays are welcomed from community groups - contact Reception on the first floor. We will provide speakers or arrange visits and tours of the Library for interested community groups.

Conference Facility: The conference room and exhibition area is situated on the first floor of the central city library. It is self contained with toilet and kitchen facilities. Equipment available: whiteboard, OHP/screen, flipchart, and TV/video. Very reasonable rates of hire available by enquiring at Reception. Sorry, not available for private functions (weddings, 21sts, etc).

Eftpos: is now available at the Library - sorry, no cash advances.

"Library Link": is a radio programme linking the library and the community. It is broadcast on SOUNDS OF THE SOUTH - RADIO SOUTHLAND 96.4FM on the first Thursday of the month at 9.00am. Listen out for what is happening at your local library.

Promotional Sales: the Library has for sale: pens ($1.00 and $2.00), greeting cards ($2.00 each or 3 for $5.00), notepads ($2.00), magnets ($0.80).

Hot Picks Collection: bestsellers, popular authors. Just $2.50 for a one week issue, unlimited renewals at a further $2.50, but watch the overdues - $0.50 per day. Come into Adult Services and check out what's hot!

Magazines: are now issued for two weeks.
