We subscribe to many databases and encyclopedias that might be of interest to you.
You can use them by logging in with your User ID, found on the back of your library card.
In particular, the following databases, encyclopedias, and websites are highly recommended:
World Book Encyclopedia - you can also access games, puzzles and activities here.
AnyQuestions - this site offers online homework help to school students. You can log on between 1pm and 6pm Monday to Friday and talk to a real librarian about your homework. The librarians will help you work out how to find the answers by using the best search terms.
ManyAnswers - this site allows you to search for answers to popular homework questions asked at Anyquestions.co.nz. It might be a good place to start looking for popular research topics like famous people and inventors or inventions.
HowStuffWorks - if you have a curious mind, this is the place for you. Howstuffworks gives answers to the questions you didn't even know you wanted to ask.
Internet Public Library for Kids - find information, games, activities, jokes and riddles and much more.
