Read to a dog to practice reading skills

Young readers spend time with Izzy or Otis, offering a comfortable and supportive environment to practice their reading skills.

How it works

Book a session for your child to read to a dog who is accompanied by their handler. Each session is 15 minutes long and is free. Bookings are essential and children must be accompanied by an adult.

🕚 10.30am - 11.45am during the school term

The dogs

Izzy is a gentle and calm 10-year-old Shih Tzu who has been with Canine Friends pet therapy for years.

📆 Izzy is available every second Saturday.

Otis is a lovable 3-year-old Cavoodle who recently joined the team.

📆 Otis is available every second Sunday.
