Joining the library
Who can sign up?
Library membership is free to all residents of the wider Invercargill area. We also have agreements with councils from Waitaki, Clutha, Gore, Southland, Dunedin, Queenstown, and Central Otago that allow their residents membership.
If you are a visitor from outside the region, we can provide you with temporary membership to use while you are here.
How do I sign up?
Registration is quick and easy. Simply come into the library with some photo identification, such as a driver licence, passport, or 18+ card. We'll collect some information about you and give you a library card.
Start the sign-up process online below, or you can visit our Help Desk in Invercargill or Bluff, or call (03) 211 1444 for assistance.
