Starting 1 December, pick up or download your booklet, complete fun reading and activity challenges, and work towards earning a free book.
How it works
- Runs from 1 December to 31 January 2027
- Three age groups; 0–5, 6–11, and 12–18
- Complete reading and activity challenges as you work towards earning your free book
- Complete 10 challenges to earn an entry into the prize draw 🎉
- Complete 20 challenges to earn a second entry into the prize draw and choose a free book 📚

Why summer reading?
The Summer Reading Challenge is designed to keep kids reading and prevent the summer slide, where reading skills can decline over the summer holidays.
